THE ORIGIN OF SOUL CACAO
Soul Cacao is ethically sourced from organic farmers from the rainforest of Guatemala. It has been lovingly handcrafted by a women’s collective at my favorite place in the world, Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
The cacao stems from criollo cacao hybrids seeds that are cultivated in farmer-owned lands. Each batch of cacao is carefully fermented, dried, and toasted by hand. The artisanal processing of the seeds allows an extraordinarily high-quality control. Hand peeling allows our women’s collectives to ensure that each bean is in the perfect state. This mindful process, ensures the seeds of which the cacao is made to be of a high quality.
The process of the ethically and organic producing the cacao, is overseen by Cacao Source. In collaboration with them, I’m able to bring the magic and sacredness of Mayan cacao to your home in the Netherlands and Europe.
